The theme of the holiday musical “Spirited,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell, is atonement. The afterlife world picks one offender a year and changes them into a better version of themselves. The Ghost of Christmas past, present, and future all contributed to the process. They took the offenders on a trip and showed them how their history had shaped them into the people they were, how their bad behavior had an impact on those around them in the present, and how a disastrous future might result if they did not change. Behind the scenes, a group of spirits plans the whole procedure that finally results in their success. They chose people whose behavior changes could have an international impact. Present, though, saw this as a crucial effort and had personal motivations for demonstrating that even an irredeemable man might be transformed. Finally, he was able to persuade the spirit world to choose Clint Briggs as their target, and they spent a whole year learning about him and conjuring up incidents from his past, present, and future that may instruct him in how to behave better.
Clint proposed that they gather information on her opponent and put it online when Wren asked him for advice on how to win the Student Council President election. Clint told the little girl that winning was more important than the process, rather than encouraging her to choose an ethical strategy to win the election. Finding anything contentious about the kid competing for the post was Clint’s request to Kimberly. Clint’s helper, Kimberly, did not take pleasure in her work. Knowing how troublesome Clint’s company was, she thought that digging dirt on a teenager via social media was the new low. She wanted to quit her job, but it was not an easy decision. Kimberly and Present connected deeply, and Present appeared to her.

It was time for the three spirits to direct Clint in the proper direction as Christmas drew near. However, dealing with Clint was everything but simple. Lacking any feeling of shame, he immediately began making out with the ghost of Christmas past. Past left the haunt after realizing it would not be a success and urged Present to take over. Even after revealing how his mother’s actions damaged him as a youngster, Present brushed it off and said that she had taught him how to peddle falsehoods, which ultimately helped him further his profession. As a result, he had no complaints about his past. We know from the past that Carrie and Clint were very close and that she always went out of her way for her brother. Clint, though, found it difficult to replay one experience that showed how he had made a mistake in the past. Clint and Present became close, and it was through their conversations that we learned of Present’s time on Earth. “Spirited” explores Present’s development as a risk-taker as well as Clint’s quest for forgiveness.

Clint questioned Present about whether or not he had changed throughout his life after learning about his past. The only problem was that he only lasted three and a half weeks after his transformation. As a result, Present, a.k.a. Scrooge, was unsure about whether he was a decent guy or not. He never retired to return to Earth and live a human existence because he was afraid of becoming the person he once was. Clint made Present realize that, rather than living in fear, he needed to take a chance and live the life he deserved. Kimberly was able to see Present since he was in love with her. He chose to pursue his love for her in the mortal realm after accepting his retirement with the help of Clint and Marley.

“Spirited” Resolution Explanation: Was Clint Finally Forgiven?

Clint was made aware of how his coworkers and friends disregarded him, but that his brother Owen stood up for him. He recounted how Clint spent the most of his youth alone, which is why he could only trust himself. Clint was compelled to relive a memory that he had previously avoided. Carrie realized her days were limited at the time she was hospitalized. She asked Clint to take care of Wren when she passed away, but Clint declined. Even though Carrie thought he had some redeeming qualities, he said that day that he was too selfish to be a parent and that he only cared about himself. Clint never thought about the recollection again since he felt bad for not accepting Wren’s duty on that particular day.
He taught Wren to be self-centered and nasty since she had sought his advice on how to win the Student Council presidential election. Josh Hubbins published a photo of himself giving food to the needy, and Wren immediately felt the need to deface it. He was immediately removed from social media when she posted a video of him criticizing the homeless. That video was posted by Josh Hubbins a long time ago, and he also removed it. Because of his youth, everything he did was childish. Clint felt his emotions for the first time. While he was trying to defend himself, he also understood that the child did not deserve what he had to go through.

Clint was visited by the ghost of Christmas yet to come after Present had left. The ghost with the grim reaper appearance demonstrated how Wren’s video post may endanger Josh’s life. There was no way for Wren to make up for her error when Josh later committed suicide. Clint quickly intervened to prevent Wren from sharing the video after snapping back to reality. However, it turned out that Kimberly had spoken with Wren about how her decisions had shaped who she was. Wren thus decided not to post the video and to contest the election honestly. Clint was no longer self-centered; he had begun to care about others, as shown by the fact that he raced to stop Wren from doing something that might destroy someone’s life. But the spirits had not yet pronounced him to be redeemed. Present resolved to end his mortal existence in order to travel back in time and figure out what went wrong, since he was disappointed that Clint had not been acknowledged as a changed man. But Clint was only concerned with his relationship with Present. Present was prepared to die for his friend’s salvation, even if Clint pleaded with him to enjoy his life and his love with Kimberly. Present was in the middle of the road and was about to be struck by a bus when Clint raced to rescue him. He took the final decision to risk his life in order to save his buddy. This was a fully redemptive act. At last, he was considered righteous, but only at the price of his life.
